I just looked at my eBay listings this morning and I have four paintings that will be sold by the end of the day. That is great news, since summer is a very slow time for sales, but it means I need to get going today and finish up some paintings. Fortunately, I got a good start yesterday. All of the under painting on the new "Passions" painting is done and the backgrounds are painted on two more giant leaf canvases. I did a light colored background on the largest one and I am really liking it. You can really see the brush strokes and the color variation. I was going to do purple elephant ears, but I'm going to try to get the feeling of purple using more browns and taupes...if that makes any sense.
This will be a short posting this morning, since I need to get busy. Thursday is a good listing day on eBay, so I want to try and have something finished to put up for auction tonight.
